For a long time Apple computers has been moving their own processors and systems but it appears the tides are turning. Apple recently introduced their new selection of notebooks and desktops sporting combined primary Intel processors.
This is an appealing move on both element of Intel and Apple. Apple has made a cope with the devil as we say by looking to use the Intel dual core processors. For a long time they’ve been battling it but it seems they’ve finally given in.
Whats more interesting may be the undeniable fact that Intel are putting their dual core processors in to the macs. That is if you ask me is just a sign of desperation on Intels part. For a long time they have been dominating the processor market with little risk from another major processor manufacturer AMD. But recently, with their 64 touch dual core and server processors, AMD has been clawing back the marketplace. With large players like DELL and HP needs to offer Opteron approach produced by AMD its no wonder Intel seems threatened.
The new Apple computers may even have the ability to run Windows systems which further monopolizes the marketplace for Microsoft. The macs are using the Pentium N dual core processors that have been released a little while after AMD released their dual core variety. This jump AMD has on Intel is proving costly for them in terms of brand sales.
Who knows what the near future will bring with this new relationship. Apple supporting Intel processors would not have even entered my mind last year but here we’re. Even though the Intel dual core processors are a lot cheaper than the AMD dual core products, AMD sales still appear to be increasing while Intel brand sales are on a steady decline. If Intel doesnt intensify the game soon they’ll be where AMD was 36 months ago.
